Thirty years ago, Holland founder and CEO Bruce Holland decided to pursue his vision of creating a company that would provide high quality, personalized construction services to commercial clients who would appreciate his focus on building long-lasting relationships as well as buildings. Starting out with just four employees and virtually no projects for the first six months, the new company soon found its stride when the next 18 months brought in $18 million of construction, far surpassing their original $5 million goal.

Bruce Holland’s roots in the construction industry are deep, having spent 20+ years in the industry before taking the leap to launch Holland Construction Services in 1986. Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, David Birk, joined the company in 1988, and is known as the processes and procedures man, responsible for managing day-to-day business operations. President, Mike Marchal, came to Holland in 1997, and as president, he sets and oversees the overall direction of the company.
As the executive management team, these three long-time business partners and friends lead Holland Construction Services toward its mission of identifying and delivering clients’ and employees’ objectives, ensuring their total satisfaction and developing long lasting relationships.
Holland’s culture is family-oriented, balanced between both our personal families and our company family. Our expectations of ourselves and the experience we provide to others are high, and we are very supportive of one another in meeting these expectations.
