Our Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team is highly skilled at putting BIM technology to work to solve construction and design collaboration issues across multiple building systems, ultimately saving our clients substantial time and money. Holland’s team ensures clients have the information they need to make smart, informed decisions by creating 3D building models backed by technical product performance and cost data. This allows the entire project team to visualize how design elements will play out in construction and to evaluate potential alternative solutions to deliver the ideal project.

DESIGN VISUALIZATION

Our Visual Design & Construction experts use everything from early concept sketches, to 2D drawings, to complex design models to create powerful 3D building and site models, life-like renderings and fly-around/walk-through animations.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION COLLABORATION

Our VDC team brings 3D architectural, structural, and MEPFP models together in the pre-construction phase for accurate material quantity take-offs for cost estimating, and to identify and correct any potential conflicts between competing building systems prior to field installation.

CONSTRUCTION COORDINATION & QUALITY CONTROL

We continue to use BIM throughout construction to improve quality by using virtual mock-ups to build a section of the building virtually, allowing us to identify issues before constructing it in the field. Using BIM throughout construction also allows us to address unforeseen building system conflicts that arise during their installation.

Drone Imaging & Data Collection

We routinely deploy drones to job sites before, during, and after construction to collect images and data. Our drone image processing software combines hundreds of photos into seamless 2D and 3D images, which we use to create our building visualization models, monitor on-site safety compliance, assure construction meets quality standards, and communicate project progress to our clients.

 

Project Management Software

Our processes for managing communications, drawings, and documents are all digital. This allows everyone on the team to have quick access to any document associated with the project, modify it if necessary, and instantly share it so the whole team has access to the latest project information.
