Holland Construction Services is beginning the $14.2 million renovation of the former Meredith Home/Hotel Belleville, now known as Lofts on the Square. The highly anticipated senior living project, located at 16 S. Illinois Street in Belleville, will include 47 apartments, common areas, activity spaces, a library/computer lab, an exercise room and storage facilities. The six-story building will also include 3,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space on the first floor.
Holland Construction Services recently broke ground on a new $41.2 million apartment complex at 9200 Veterans Memorial Parkway in O’Fallon, Missouri for VITA Residential Property Management Group.
Holland Construction Services is working to help the Wolf Branch School District open their middle school building by the fall of 2021 after mine subsidence caused the district to close the building three years ago. The middle school, located at 410 Huntwood Road in Swansea, closed in 2017 after significant settlement caused by the collapse of an abandoned underground coal mine was discovered. The collapse resulted in cracking and buckling of floors and walls inside the building, forcing the school’s closure.
Construction is well underway on the new senior living development, Keystone Place at Richland Creek, at the northwest corner of Frank Scott Parkway and Fountain Lakes Drive in O’Fallon, Ill. The total project cost of the development is $39 million. Once completed, the new facility will offer independent living, assisted living, and memory care services all in one location.
Over 140 golfers participated in the annual Holland Employee Charitable Foundation’s (HECF) winter charity golf tournament, the Klondike Klassic. The golfers, with the help of over 60 sponsors raised $22,000 to support this year’s recipient, R3 Development.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was recently held to mark the completion of the first phase of the Whispering Heights development. The project, a new $34 million mixed-use community located off Highway 157, is in the heart of Edwardsville, Illinois. The ceremony marked the completion of the South Building. The North Building is scheduled to be completed in May.
