Holland Construction Services has worked on multiple projects at Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) including a new Liberal Arts Building.
The 2-story 73,000 square-foot building features offices, classrooms, a theater, student lounge and a student success center. It is constructed of a structural steel skeleton with a masonry veneer, glass curtain wall and composite panel skin.
Holland also constructed the Schmidt Art Center located on the SWIC campus. This 7,100 square-foot facility houses gallery space, a catering kitchen and art restoration area in a climate-controlled environment. It is a brick structure with curved standing seamed roof. Holland also recently completed a classroom/storage addition to the Art Center which included a loading dock and receiving yard. The addition is similar construction as the existing building.
Other projects Holland has completed for SWIC include a Data Room remodel and the Information Science Building & Quad remodel.
