Safety & Wellness
“A Better Way to Build” begins with safety and wellness. Ensuring the physical and mental well-being of our team is crucial for fostering a positive environment where individuals can thrive. This commitment enhances quality of life and empowers everyone to reach their full potential.
Taking Safety to Another Level
At Holland, we are taking safety to another level with uncompromising practices that ensure all company and jobsite employees, on all projects, are active participants in a functional and successful safety-first culture. Driving our safety mission, Holland employs full-time, field-based safety professionals under the direction of our Safety & Health Director. In addition, all Holland project superintendents are required to hold an OSHA 30-hour certification card and participate in on-going safety training courses.
Holland’s Holistic Approach to Wellness
In 2024, Holland proudly hosted a Safety Symposium at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), underscoring our commitment to not only physical safety but also the mental well-being of our employees and trade partners. This event brought together industry leaders, mental health professionals, and safety experts to discuss the critical link between mental health and workplace safety.
Through engaging workshops and informative sessions, we emphasized the importance of fostering a supportive work environment where everyone feels valued and heard. By addressing topics such as stress management, work-life balance, and resilience, we equipped attendees with valuable tools to navigate the challenges of the construction industry.
