Four years after the first community vision meeting, and 18 months after construction began, Jacksonville Middle School (JMS) is finally finished. Although students had been using the facility this school year, the administration areas of the building were only recently completed. The project was completed under budget, and student areas were finished on time.

To celebrate the occasion, District 117 held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house to show off the new facility.
