Holland Construction Services completed two buildings for St. Nicholas Church. The 11,628 square-foot activity center features a youth room, three pre-school classrooms and a multi-purpose room designed with social functions and sport activities in mind. Wall panels and dual lighting systems can accommodate basketball, volleyball or other sports activities, or can be dimmed to create a warm environment for large receptions. The 9,800 square-foot spirituality center contains a day chapel, nursery, three “Catechesis of the Good Shepherd” classrooms, a large group gathering area featuring a scullery and serving space, and smaller formal and informal discussion rooms to accommodate smaller groups.
This was the second project Holland Construction Services completed for St. Nicholas Church. Holland also completed renovations in 1997 for the expansion of the Church. The addition included parish offices, expansion of the gathering area, a multi-purpose area, offices, meeting rooms and ancillary rooms associated with the worship area as well as partial renovation to the present building.
