Holland Construction Named Master Builder for 2010

SWANSEA, ILL. – Construction of the Eckert’s Country Market in Belleville, Ill. earned Holland Construction Services Inc. recognition as the overall Master Builder of the Year by Star Building Systems.

In addition to the top award for all entries in 2010, Holland was named 2010 Best of St. Louis District and 2010 Best of Small Commercial Category. The award recipients were recently announced at Star Building System’s Eastern Region meeting in Orlando, Fla.

“The award was based on the overall look and appeal of the structure, as well as the effective use of Star Products and general quality of construction,” said Jeff Koos, manager of Star Brand and Marketing at Star Building Systems. “The Eckert’s building is a bit of an unusual design and the gambrel-style roof makes it stand out.

“It’s very clean and attractive,” Koos added.

The Lawrence Group of St. Louis was the architectural design firm for the Eckert’s project.

Star Building Systems awarded Holland Construction the same three awards in 2005 for its construction of the YMCA Meyer Center in Edwardsville, Ill.
