Holland Construction Services Completes New Walgreens Store in Watson Plaza

February 8, 2006

ST. LOUIS, MO - The Walgreens Store in Watson Plaza marks the ninth Walgreens retail facility that Holland Construction Services (HCS) has completed.

The new store is a part of Watson Plaza, currently under redevelopment by G. J. Grewe, Inc., located on Watson Road, a quarter mile west of Westfield Crestwood Plaza. Walgreens serves as one of the major anchors for the shopping center, with a new Kohl's department store located nearby.

The $1.8 million, 14,820-square-foot building replaces the old Walgreens next door, offering customers a modern facility, convenient drive-through pharmacy lane and a new parking area. HCS has two additional Walgreens stores currently under construction in the St. Louis area and has completed eight in St. Louis and Southwestern Illinois.

"We're happy to know that our quality construction on previous Walgreens earned our company the opportunity to work on this store with G. J. Grewe," Bruce Holland, HCS president said. "We hope to continue to work on similar projects for many years to come." Construction of the Watson Plaza Walgreens also involved the demolition of a former Tippins Restaurant.

Holland Construction Services is a full-service contracting and construction management firm guided by the principle of delivering total customer satisfaction.

HCS has been providing quality construction throughout Missouri and Illinois since 1986, when it was founded by Bruce Holland. The company offers design/build, general contracting and construction management services to commercial, retail, healthcare, senior living, lightÊindustrial and educational clients.
