Holland Construction Services Becomes Member of USGBC, Provides LEED-Accredited Services

With rising energy prices and the need to conserve the world's resources, green is the way to go with new construction to insure cost savings and water and energy efficiency.
As members of the U.S. Green Building Council, Holland Construction Services provides guidance in certification in Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED). The USGBC LEED program offers benchmarks for the design, construction and operation of green facilities, awarding a certified, silver, gold or platinum rating through a 69 possible-points system.
Five environmental categories within the LEED program address issues of establishing sustainable sites through such areas as site selection and stormwater design; water efficiency; energy and atmosphere concerns such as utilizing renewable energy and other technology; use of reusable materials and resources; and indoor environmental quality factors like low emissions and use of natural light.
