Holland Construction Services Completes New Schnucks Store

JENNINGS, MO - The new Schnucks store in Jennings, MO celebrated its grand opening in October as part of the redevelopment of the former Northland Shopping Center - now known as Plaza on the Boulevard.
The $4.2 million store, completed by Holland Construction Services, features a 63,576-square-foot contemporary prototype design - the first of its kind in this area. Customers now enjoy the convenience of a large drive-through pharmacy, upscale delicatessen, bakery, fresh seafood and expanded floral and video departments.
"Working with owners, the Sansone Group on the Jennings Schnucks store has given us the opportunity to be a part of the exciting revitalization happening in and around the city," said Bruce Holland, president of Holland Construction. "It's very gratifying to see neighborhoods begin to thrive again."
Based in St. Louis, Schnuck Markets, Inc. opened its first store in St. Louis in 1939. It now operates 102 stores with 99 in-store pharmacies in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Mississippi and Iowa.
The Sansone Group developed the $60 million, 500,000-square-foot Plaza on the Boulevard, anchored by the newly opened Schnucks and a new Target Store.
