Downtown Belleville YMCA Completed By Holland Construction Services

BELLEVILLE, IL - Holland Construction Services (HCS) recently completed the new Downtown Belleville YMCA - Robert L. & Elsie A. Kern Center, which is now open and operating.
"The new YMCA building turned out very well and is an important contribution to the community," said Steve Ira, president and chief executive officer of YMCA of Southwestern Illinois. "Holland Construction was very professional and provided excellent workmanship; we have a great working relationship."
The new $5.1 million, 32,779-square-foot Downtown Belleville structure replaced an older, existing YMCA and features an indoor aquatic center, walking track and racquetball court. Membership pre-sales represented more than 1,100 units in anticipation of the opening of the new facility.
Fairview Heights-based EWR Associates, Inc. was the architectural firm on the project.
HCS has constructed four YMCA facilities in the St. Louis Metro area.
