Holland Construction Services Completes St. John's United Methodist Church Phase II Addition

October 19, 2007

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - St. John's United Methodist Church is now utilizing its new Phase II addition completed by Swansea-based Holland Construction Services.

Leesa Zick, St. John's building committee chairperson, said the church was very excited to be working with Holland Construction because of its strong background in the construction of religious facilities, along with the excellent work the company provided last year in the completion of Phase I of the church's expansion.

The new Phase II addition is a $1.2 million, 9,300-square-foot structural steel and brick veneer building with a ministry center - complete with overhead projection screens and acoustical panels, new classrooms and an audio visual room.

"We have a beautiful new facility that was on time and under budget," Zick added. "You can't ask for much more than that.”

The Phase I addition equipped the church with a new kitchen, a choir wing, office space, classrooms, a library and fellowship area.

Architectural services were provided by Karasek Architects of Belleville, Illinois.
