Holland Construction Services Remodels St. Elizabeth's First Floor IT
BELLEVILLE - Holland Construction Services, Inc. and St. Elizabeth's Hospital worked together once again to complete state-of-the-art facilities that ensure the continuation of the highest quality service for the hospital's patients.
The $1.1 million interior refinishing of 6,300 square feet of St. Elizabeth's first floor Unit F will provide updated accommodations for the Information Technology Department with new restrooms and offices for IT employees, allowing even better servicing of medical records.
"St. Elizabeth's invited Holland Construction to be on the hospital's preferred contractors bid list because of the excellent past construction experiences that we have enjoyed over the years," said Ramsae Stricker, director of facility management at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. "Bruce Holland comes to every project energized and with much integrity. His goals are always to complete projects timely, and on budget."
He said that Holland's experienced construction leadership staff has always proved to be second to none.
"We've received excellent project supervision and overall project management that can only be described as totally detail-oriented," Stricker added. "The Holland team relieved the burdens of construction from the hospital so that we were able to continue our focus on our business of providing quality care to our patients."
Wisconsin-based Berners-Schober Associates, Inc. provided architectural services on the IT remodeling project.
Holland Construction has been involved in the construction of many projects for St. Elizabeth's, including the expansion of oncology services at the Memorial & St. Elizabeth's Health Care facility in Swansea; the new Monroe County Medical Building in Columbia; and the MRI expansion for Mid-America Imaging, LLC in the St. Elizabeth's Hospital Diagnostic Center in O'Fallon.
St. Elizabeth's Hospital, founded by the Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis, is a general acute care non-profit hospital, with headquarters in Springfield. It is one of seven hospitals in the Unity Health Network. It is one of the largest healthcare providers in the area.
