Holland Construction Services Completes St. Elizabeth's Medical Building in Columbia

COLUMBIA - Holland Construction Services has completed construction on St. Elizabeth's Hospital's new Monroe County Medical Building.
Located on Illinois Rte. 3 between Columbia and Waterloo - and the first of its kind in the area, the $6 million, 30,000-square-foot structure makes hospital-based medical care more accessible for local residents, filling a growing need in community.
The building features a glass atrium opening into a large common waiting space flooded with natural light. The first floor includes an UrgiCare Center - open to the public for non-life-threatening and minor emergency services. Radiology, X-ray and imaging suites are available for diagnostic services such as ultrasound, mammography and CT scans, with MRI procedures planned for the future. A physical therapy suite and laboratory testing services are also available. Physicians' suites and a sleep laboratory are located on the second floor, designed for efficiency with a blending of common waiting and hallway spaces.

The medical building is Holland's 13th project for the hospital since 1989.
EWR Associates Inc. was the architect on the project.
