Holland Construction Building Addition to ROHO Facility
BELLEVILLE, ILL. - Holland Construction Services, Inc. is beginning work on a new addition to the ROHO Group’s main manufacturing facility at 1501 S. 74th St. to accommodate the company’s continued growth. With a projected fall completion, the 12,000-square-foot metal building will increase warehouse space for ROHO, manufacturers of cushioning and mattress products for medical applications and recreational and commercial vehicles.
ROHO’s Strategic Facilities Director Skip MacEwen said Holland Construction Services was selected due to its extremely competitive pricing, along with a positive past experience with the company. "Holland renovated the exterior of our existing building and we had a good rapport with no major issues," MacEwen said. "We are very happy with the Holland team."
The new warehouse space will allow ROHO to receive and store a greater quantity of component parts and provide two new receiving docks for greater efficiency.
Oates & Associates Engineering and Architecture of Collinsville provided architectural services with consulting services provided by Design 6.
In 2005, Holland also completed extensive renovations to the exterior of The ROHO Group’s facility, dramatically transforming the former "big box" Kmart building. The ROHO Group specializes in shape-fitting technology, and is known for its Dry Flotation technology, providing wheelchair users with greater comfort and stability.
