Holland Construction Building Upscale Villas at Crystal Lake
SWANSEA, ILL. – Holland Construction Services Inc. broke ground Dec. 2 on what will soon be a new Villa complex at Crystal Lake, offering a range of upscale rental units complete with amenities for a carefree lifestyle.
The $20 million, three-story building complex totals 211,000 square feet with 216 living units comprised of one-bedroom, two-bedroom and one- and two- bedroom with den selections. Apartments will include maple-stained cabinetry; wood flooring, high definition laminate countertops and a washer and dryer for convenience.
Six buildings housing six garages each are fully enclosed with automatic garage door openers. The one-story clubhouse has several architectural features and will offer a community room with tiled flooring, a theater, state-of-the-art fitness center, billiard room and changing rooms in close proximity to the large swimming pool.
Exterior finishes are a mix of vinyl siding and masonry with asphalt shingles. The property is aesthetically appealing with open green space, walking trails, a pond and babbling water features.
Owner Villas at Crystal Lake Vice President of Real Estate Justin Saverin said the company chose Holland Construction due to past experience with the company.
“We are very pleased with the process and the results of previous projects with them,” Saverin said. “The Holland team is always great to work with and have completed other projects ahead of time and below budget,
“We’re seeing the same quality of work and service with the construction of the Villas,” he added. “We look forward to working with them on future Metro East projects.”
Mills Properties, Inc. of St. Louis will manage Villas at Crystal Lake. Saverin said the plan is to begin accepting residential applications by April 2010, with the first tenants moving in by July.
“It’s a great project and it’s providing a lot of employment in the area,” Saverin said. “We couldn’t be happier.”
EWR Associates, Inc. of Swansea provided architectural services. Civil engineering was completed by Belleville-based Berutti & Associates, Inc.
