Holland Construction Completes Two Illinois American Water Projects
BELLEVILLE, ILL. – In recent months, Holland Construction Services, Inc. successfully completed two projects in the Metro East for the Illinois American Water Co.
The $578,000 Belleville facility upgrade included a total makeover - remodeling the existing offices and kitchen, demolishing two racquetball courts to make room for more offices to accommodate engineering group expansion and a complete remodel of the operations area.
“We were happy with the Holland team in every way,” said Jim Hegger, senior project engineer at Illinois American Water. “We maintained operations during the remodeling, and Holland coordinated the movement of people very well - and the quality of work was excellent. They want to do things right.”
The second project for the organization involved a $380,000 emergency repair to the north wall high service pump station at the water treatment plant in East St. Louis.
“We asked Holland to help us with the repairs on the second project because we were so happy with the level of service on the facility upgrade,” Hegger said. “We would definitely work with them again and recommend them to others.”
Ross & Baruzzini, Inc. of St. Louis was the Engineering & Architectural Planning, Design & Consulting firm on the Belleville facility upgrade.
