2012 United Way Campaign

Employees of Holland Construction Services in Swansea participated in the Hillbilly Olympics Aug. 17 as a fundraiser for the United Way of Greater St. Louis. Employees went for the gold in competitions, including the bag toss, water balloon volleyball and “pie your boss.” In the photo: Tara Noones pies her boss in the face.


HCS Bowling Night

On Sept, 15th employees bowled and mingled at Hanks Bowl in Trenton. Fun was had by all!


HCS Food Drive 2012

Holland Construction Services Sponsored our 3rd Annual Employee Food Drive for the Swansea Food Pantry. Swansea Food Pantry is a not-for-profit organization that receives no government funding to run and relies solely on community involvement. Right now they supply food for 147 families in need.

2011 United Way Advanced Campaign

Holland Construction Services hosted it's annual Advanced United Way "Minute to Win It" Campaign. This years goal was to raise $20,000 for United Way and AGAIN HCS passed that goal raising more than $28,000 for UNITED WAY!

HCS Fish Fry

July 30th, HCS hosted a Fish Fry for employees and their families at Sportman's Lake. The catfish were biting and the croppie was delicious!


Swansea Food Pantry Drive

3rd Annual HCS American Red Cross Blood Drive

Holland Construction Services Sponsored our 3rd Annual American Red Cross Blood Drive on May 19, 2011. 14 productive units were collected and for every 10 units, 30 lives are saved. THANK YOU to all who came out to donate!



Holland Construction Services 25th Anniversary Open House

Holland kicked off our 25th Anniversary with an Open House celebration, the first of many celebrations and milestones for HCS. Tours of the newly renovated office were available as well as food and drink to toast to the occasion. A Happy Anniversary and many more to come!


MS Walk 2011

Walk MS is a rally for us to stand together to help raise critical funds that support cutting edge research and provide programs and services to help people with MS move their lives forward. On April 16th, HCS joined Team Riess in supporting employee Jim Riess, diagnosed in 2003, and others afflicted with MS help fight and find a cure for MS.

BBBS Bowl for Kids Sake Tournament

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois

On March 12th, HCS participated in the BBBS Bowl for Kids Sake tournament. Raising awareness and the funding necessary to match a child to a mentor.

Over 260 boys and girls are waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister to help change their life today. For more information about Big Brother Big Sisters visit www.bbbsil.org.


8th Klondike Klassic HCS Golf Tournament to Benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois

On Saturday, February 19th Holland Construction Services hosted the 8th Klondike Klassic Tournament for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois. 128 golfers braved the cold and helped Holland raise over $18,750.00 for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois breaking a Klondike Klassic record. The commitment to this worthy organization helped to raise the awareness and funding necessary for boys and girls waiting for a Big Brother or Sister to change their lives for the better. NAWIC

On Friday, February 18th HCS employees Greg Goette, Scott Zola, Mike Marchal, Keith Rule, Corey Noder and Dianna Voruz were judges for the Gardner Elementary School's Block Kids Building Program in Waterloo, Illinois. It is a national building program competition that is sponsored on the local level by NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) chapters and other organizations. The award winning program introduces children to the construction industry in an effort to create an awareness of and to promote an interest in future careers in one of the many facets of the industry. The program is open to all elementary school children in grades 1-6. The competition involves the construction of various structures with interlocking blocks and three of the following additional items: a small rock, string, foil, and poster board.
