Key Responsibilities
|
| Duties and Responsibilities |
- Overall coordination of assigned projects for timely and profitable completion in a professional manner.
- Ensure that management is accurately and fully informed of project costs as compared to budgets through weekly labor and monthly budget reports.
- Client coordination throughout the period of construction.
- Plan, organize, direct and control the preparation and execution of construction contracts to meet company objectives of cost, quality, equipment conservation and safety.
Duties and responsibilities will include management, coordination or participation with the following issues and concerns:
- Preconstruction
- Contracts with client and vendors
- Permits
- Temporary services
- Mobilization, staging and site signage
- Labor, material and equipment needs
- Site visits, meetings and progress reports
- Budget, costs, schedule of values
- Schedule
- Record keeping and job reports
- Field directives
- Walk-throughs, punch lists and close out
- Pay applications to owner
- Subcontractor and vendor invoices
- Change orders
- Submittals, samples and shop drawings
- Estimating
- Methods
- Quality
- Safety
- Value engineering
- Insurance for Holland and for subcontractors
- Client relationship and business development
- Supervise superintendents
- Supervise and train project engineers

Candidate Requirements
|
| Summary of Qualifications |
- 5 to 10 years experience with managing general construction projects.
- Experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of construction management for commercial and other construction projects.
- Ability to manage all construction disciplines including civil, electrical, mechanical, structural, roofing, etc.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Ability to make good decisions based on analysis of relative factors.
- Able to communicate ideas and give specific directions effectively.
- Self-motivated with skills to motivate others.
- Good business and financial sense.
- Above average sociability required to work within a team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Estimating experience preferred.
