Key Responsibilities

• Review all documents and proposed schedule for project.
• Assume responsibility for preparation of estimate or bid of jobs assigned.
• Lead the market bid process.
• Take bids from subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Complete bid documents or budgets as needed.
• Meet with Clients and Management as required.
• Keep accurate records.

Candidate Requirements

• Five or more years estimating experience in Commercial Construction as a General Contractor.
• Proven track record or successfully estimating construction projects.
• Ability to lead the market bid process.
• Good conceptual budgeting skills for CSI Divisions 1 thru 16.
• Strong competitive bid skills.
• Good personal and computer skills.
• Knowledge of digitizer, Timberline earthwork software and Sage-Timberline software (Estimating Extended 9.2.1) preferred.
• Knowledge of Southern Illinois and St. Louis subcontractor market.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Invitation to Bid sub bid solicitation software.
• Must be self-starter.
• Above average sociability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to participate with job meetings and develop into lead for client meetings.
• Must be able to deal with job pressure.
